Military veterans and ex-forces
If you're a veteran or ex-forces, please let us know. This will help us to give you the best possible care. Your GP may ask to see your military medical records; this will be kept confidential.
As well as giving you care, your GP may suggest you visit a specialist health service, or an armed forces charity. You'll be able to speak to people who:
- understand military life
- are from the armed forces community, or work closely with them
- will work to get you the care you need.
You can also read the NHS guide to healthcare for the armed forces community.
Specialist support for veterans
We have been accredited as an armed forces veteran friendly GP practice. This means that we have a dedicated clinician at the surgery who has specialist knowledge of service-related health conditions and veteran-specific health services.
Veterans’ Gateway
Veterans’ Gateway puts veterans and their families in touch with the organisations best placed to help them.
You can contact Veterans’ Gateway 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
